How Indian army act like a BOSS !!
This answer is about the helmets used by the Indian Army in Kashmir. These helmets have been used since a long time .
These helmets are peculiar in shape and are called as Patka helmets. They look like this:
Now, what's so different about these helmets:
They were indigenously designed by DRDO.
They provide protection against 9mm FMJ and fragments all around the circumference of the head.
With special adjustments, it can also provide protection against AK-47 bullets.
The forehead is completely protected by these helmets. So it is an excellent protection against headshots.
It has extremely good ergonomics i.e it can be adjusted easily on the head even with gloved hands .
Night vision , binoculars , radio communication can be easily accommodated with it .
It is also available in different colours for providing camouflage in varied environments and it is extremely comfortable to wear because of the soft inner layer.
These helmets will be shortly replaced by a new helmet called Mukut, which has been made in India by MKU Company.
The new one:

The Patka Helmet has saved lives of thousands of jawans till date and as an Indian Army fan I have written this answer about the Patka to honour it before it is decommissioned.

This is the MKU Mukut Helmet which IA and CAPFS are currently getting. In March , I got the opportunity to try one of them but sadly could not get a pic. They were pure love.
